Sony Studios Come Out In Support Of Abortion Rights, Despite Jim Ryan’s Previous Neutrality
Back when the Supreme Court’s plans to overturn Roe v Wade were revealed, several game studios came out in support of abortion rights. None of these studios belonged to Sony though, as Insomniac president Ted Price claimed Sony “will not approve” statements about reproductive rights. The company seemed to favor a more neutral stance, backed up by PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan who reportedly said in an internal email that employees should “respect differences of opinion” on abortion rights.
